GERMAN KÖLSCH

TASTING NOTES

In 1603, during the rise of lagers in Germany, the town of Cologne forced brewers to swear that they would not use yeasts that made lagers. They complied but that didn’t stop them from producing an ale that used lagering techniques. The result was the Kölsh. Our Kölsh is made using the their original technique which gives a smooth, clean, lightly fruity beer with low hops.

Brewed with: Crystal Clear North Shore Water, German Malts, German hops, German Yeast
